Merlin Media created several CD-based projects with and for Seiwa Systems, a US-based wing of Seiwa International in Japan, distributors of computer software.

Among the projects were a CD-ROM of royalty-free graphic objects (buttons, banners, backgrounds) and simple, example templates to assist individuals in building small web sites, and the processing of several Charlie Chaplin videos for use on an interactive CD-ROM.

We also (unshown) worked with Seiwa to create a screen saver product based on the anime series "Space Battleship Yamato," a cult classic from the 1960's. For that project we received a set of clipped film pieces from one of the original prints of the series. These were in such bad condition — dull colors, scratches, etc. — that each one required more than 3 hours of painstaking work to make usable. The results were beautiful and the product was a best seller in Japan.
